الَّذِينَ يَأْكُلُونَ الرِّبَا لَا يَقُومُونَ إِلَّا كَمَا يَقُومُ الَّذِي يَتَخَبَّطُهُ الشَّيْطَانُ مِنَ الْمَسِّ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا إِنَّمَا الْبَيْعُ مِثْلُ الرِّبَا ۗ وَأَحَلَّ اللَّهُ الْبَيْعَ وَحَرَّمَ الرِّبَا ۚ فَمَن جَاءَهُ مَوْعِظَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِ فَانتَهَىٰ فَلَهُ مَا سَلَفَ وَأَمْرُهُ إِلَى اللَّهِ ۖ وَمَنْ عَادَ فَأُولَٰئِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ ۖ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ ۞
[Surah Al-Baqarah (2), Ayat 275]
عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم « مَنِ ابْتَاعَ طَعَامًا فَلاَ يَبِعْهُ حَتَّى يَقْبِضَهُ »
Narrated by Ibn Abbas (r.a) that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said, “He who buys foodgrain should not sell it until he has taken possession of it.”

عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍ، قَالَ أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقُلْتُ يَأْتِينِي الرَّجُلُ يَسْأَلُنِي مِنَ الْبَيْعِ مَا لَيْسَ عِنْدِي أَبْتَاعُ لَهُ مِنَ السُّوقِ ثُمَّ أَبِيعُهُ قَالَ « لاَ تَبِعْ مَا لَيْسَ عِنْدَكَ »
Hakim b. Hizam (r.a) narrated, “I came to the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) and asked, ‘A man comes to me and asks to buy something which I did not have. Can I purchase it from the market for him and then sell it to him?’ He (s.a.w) replied, ‘Do not sell what is not with you.’”

عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ قَدِمَ النَّبِيُّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ وَهُمْ يُسْلِفُونَ فِي التَّمْرِ السَّنَتَيْنِ وَالثَّلاَثَ فَقَالَ « مَنْ أَسْلَفَ فِي تَمْرٍ فَلْيُسْلِفْ فِي كَيْلٍ مَعْلُومٍ وَوَزْنٍ مَعْلُومٍ إِلَى أَجَلٍ مَعْلُومٍ »
Narrated by Ibn Abbas (r.a), “When the Prophet (s.a.w) came (to Madina), they used to pay in advance for dates, two or three years in advance. He (s.a.w) said, ‘Whoever pays in advance for dates, let him pay for a known amount or a known weight, to be delivered at a known time.’”

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ « يَأْتِي عَلَى النَّاسِ زَمَانٌ، لاَ يُبَالِي الْمَرْءُ مَا أَخَذَ مِنْهُ أَمِنَ الْحَلاَلِ أَمْ مِنَ الْحَرَامِ »
“Narrated by Abu Hurairah (r.a) that the Prophet (s.a.w) said, ‘A time will come when one will not care how he earns money, halal or haram.’”

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَأْكُلُوا الرِّبَا أَضْعَافًا مُّضَاعَفَةً وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ ۞
“O you who believe! (Do) not eat Riba doubled, re-doubled. And consciously revere Allah so that you may (be) successful.”
[Surah Ale-Imran (3), Ayat 130]
عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ « إِذَا كَذَبَ الْعَبْدُ تَبَاعَدَ عَنْهُ الْمَلَكُ مِيلاً مِنْ نَتْنِ مَا جَاءَ بِهِ »
Narrated by Ibn Umar (r.a) that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said, “When the slave (of Allah) lies, the angel goes a mile away from him because of the stench of what he has done.”

“Narrated by Jabir that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) cursed accepter of interest and its payer, and one who records it, and the two witnesses, and he said, ‘They are all equal.’”

عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا طَلَعَتْ شَمْسٌ قَطُّ إِلَّا بُعِثَ بِجَنْبَتَيْهَا مَلَكَانِ يُنَادِيَانِ يُسْمِعَانِ أَهْلَ الْأَرْضِ إِلَّا الثَّقَلَيْنِ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ هَلُمُّوا إِلَى رَبِّكُمْ فَإِنَّ مَا قَلَّ وَكَفَى خَيْرٌ مِمَّا كَثُرَ وَأَلْهَى وَلَا آبَتْ شَمْسٌ قَطُّ إِلَّا بُعِثَ بِجَنْبَتَيْهَا مَلَكَانِ يُنَادِيَانِ يُسْمِعَانِ أَهْلَ الْأَرْضِ إِلَّا الثَّقَلَيْنِ اللَّهُمَّ أَعْطِ مُنْفِقًا خَلَفًا وَأَعْطِ مُمْسِكًا مَالًا تَلَفًا

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ « إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى يَقُولُ يَا ابْنَ آدَمَ تَفَرَّغْ لِعِبَادَتِي أَمْلأْ صَدْرَكَ غِنًى وَأَسُدَّ فَقْرَكَ وَإِلاَّ تَفْعَلْ مَلأْتُ يَدَيْكَ شُغْلاً وَلَمْ أَسُدَّ فَقْرَكَ »
Narrated by Abu Hurairah (r.a) that the Prophet (s.a.w) said, “Indeed Allah, Most High said, ‘O son of Adam! Devote yourself to My worship, I will fill your chest with riches and alleviate your poverty. And if you do not do so, then I will fill your hands with problems and not alleviate your poverty.’”

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ « من أَخذ عَنِّي هَؤُلَاءِ الْكَلِمَاتِ فَيَعْمَلُ بِهِنَّ أَوْ يُعَلِّمُ مَنْ يَعْمَلُ بِهِنَّ » قُلْتُ أَنَا يَا رَسُولَ الله فَأخذ بيَدي فَعَدَّ خَمْسًا فَقَالَ « اتَّقِ الْمَحَارِمَ تَكُنْ أَعْبَدَ النَّاسِ ...»
Narrated by Abu Hurairah (r.a) that Allah’s Messenger (s.a.w) said, “Who will take from me these statements to act upon or teach them one who will act upon them?” So Abu Hurairah (r.a) said, “I said, ‘I shall O Messenger of Allah!’ So he (s.a.w) took my hand and enumerated five (things), he said, ‘Be on guard against the unlawful and you shall be the most worshipping among the people ...
