Eat ONLY from the Halal Sources (1)

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ كُلُوا مِمَّا فِي الْأَرْضِ حَلَالًا طَيِّبًا وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا خُطُوَاتِ الشَّيْطَانِ ۚ إِنَّهُ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِينٌ ۞

“O mankind, eat from whatever is on earth [that is] lawful and good and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy.”

[Surah Al-Baqarah (2), Ayat 168]

Eat ONLY from the Halal Sources (2)

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُلُوا مِن طَيِّبَاتِ مَا رَزَقْنَاكُمْ وَاشْكُرُوا لِلَّـهِ إِن كُنتُمْ إِيَّاهُ تَعْبُدُونَ ۞

“O you who have believed, eat from the good things which We have provided for you and be grateful to Allah if it is [indeed] Him that you worship.”

[Surah Al-Baqarah (2), Ayat 172]

Contagious Diseases (1)

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم « لاَ عَدْوَى، وَلاَ صَفَرَ، وَلاَ هَامَةَ » فَقَالَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَمَا بَالُ الإِبِلِ تَكُونُ فِي الرَّمْلِ كَأَنَّهَا الظِّبَاءُ، فَيُخَالِطُهَا الْبَعِيرُ الأَجْرَبُ فَيُجْرِبُهَا. فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ « فَمَنْ أَعْدَى الأَوَّلَ »

Narrated by Abu Hurairah (r.a) that the Prophet (s.a.w) said, “No Adha (contagious disease), nor Safar, nor Hama.” A bedouin said, “O Allah’s Apostle! What about the camels which, when on the sand (desert) look like deer, but when a mangy camel mixes with them they all get infected with mange?” On that Allah’s Apostle said, “Then who conveyed the disease to the first camel?”

Contagious Diseases (2)

أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، بَعْدُ يَقُولُ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم « لاَ يُورِدَنَّ مُمْرِضٌ عَلَى مُصِحٍّ » وَأَنْكَرَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ حَدِيثَ الأَوَّلِ

Narrated by Abu Hurairah (r.a) that the Prophet (s.a.w) said, “The camels suffering from a disease should not be mixed up with healthy cattle.” And he denied the earlier narration.

Contagious Diseases (3)

أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم « لاَ عَدْوَى وَلاَ طِيَرَةَ وَلاَ هَامَةَ وَلاَ صَفَرَ، وَفِرَّ مِنَ الْمَجْذُومِ كَمَا تَفِرُّ مِنَ الأَسَدِ »

Narrated by Abu Hurairah (r.a) that the Prophet (s.a.w) said, “No Adwa ... and one should run away from the leper as one runs away from a lion.”

[Sahih Bukhari, Kitab Al-Tibb (76), 5709]

Contagious Diseases (4)

عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الشَّرِيدِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ:كَانَ فِي وَفْدِ ثَقِيفٍ رَجُلٌ مَجْذُومٌ ، فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّا قَدْ بَايَعْنَاكَ فَارْجِعْ

Amr b. Sharid reported from his father that there was in the delegation of Thaqif a leper. Prophet (s.a.w) sent a message to him that we have accepted your allegiance, so you may go.

[Sahih Muslim, Kitab Al-Salam (39), 5822]

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا إِلَىٰ أُمَمٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَأَخَذْنَاهُم بِالْبَأْسَاءِ وَالضَّرَّاءِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَضَرَّعُونَ ۞ فَلَوْلَا إِذْ جَاءَهُم بَأْسُنَا تَضَرَّعُوا وَلَـٰكِن قَسَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ ۞

“And We have already sent to nations before you; then We seized them with poverty and hardship that perhaps they might humble themselves. Then why, when Our punishment came to them, did they not humble themselves? But their hearts became hardened, and Satan made attractive to them that which they were doing.”

[Surah Al-Anam (6), Ayat 42-43]

وَإِذَا مَسَّ الْإِنسَانَ الضُّرُّ دَعَانَا لِجَنبِهِ أَوْ قَاعِدًا أَوْ قَائِمًا فَلَمَّا كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُ ضُرَّهُ مَرَّ كَأَن لَّمْ يَدْعُنَا إِلَىٰ ضُرٍّ مَّسَّهُ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ زُيِّنَ لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ ۞

“And when affliction touches man, he calls upon Us, whether lying on his side or sitting or standing; but when We remove from him his affliction, he continues [in disobedience] as if he had never called upon Us to [remove] an affliction that touched him. Thus is made pleasing to the transgressors that which they have been doing.”

[Surah Yunus (10), Ayat 12]

Source of Reward for a True Believer (1)

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ « مَا يُصِيبُ الْمُؤْمِنَ مِنْ شَوْكَةٍ فَمَا فَوْقَهَا إِلاَّ رَفَعَهُ اللَّهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةً ، أَوْ حَطَّ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةً »

Aisha (r.a) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said, “No believer is pricked by a thorn or more, but Allah will raise him one degree in status thereby, or will erase a sin thereby.”

[Sahih Muslim, Kitab-ul-Bir (45), 6562]

Source of Reward for a True Believer (2)

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم « مَا يَزَالُ الْبَلاَءُ بِالْمُؤْمِنِ وَالْمُؤْمِنَةِ فِي نَفْسِهِ وَوَلَدِهِ وَمَالِهِ حَتَّى يَلْقَى اللَّهَ وَمَا عَلَيْهِ خَطِيئَةٌ »

Abu Hurairah (r.a) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said, “Trials will not cease afflicting the believing man and the believing woman in their self, children, and wealth, until they meet Allah without having any sin.”

[Tirmidi, Kitab-uz-Zuhd (36), 2399] (Hasan)

Coronavirus Prophesied?

Narrated Auf bin Mali, “I went to the Prophet (s.a.w) during the Ghazwa of Tabuk while he was sitting in a leather tent. He said, ‘Count six signs that indicate the approach of the Hour. My death, the conquest of Jerusalem, a plague that will afflict you as the plague that afflicts sheep, the increase of wealth to such an extent that even if one is given one hundred Dinars ... Under each flag will be twelve thousand soldiers.’”

[Sahih Bukhari, Kitab-ul-Jizya (58), 3176]

It was the Great Plague during the Caliphate of Umar (r.a)

Plague is Martyrdom for Every Muslim

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ « الطَّاعُونُ شَهَادَةٌ لِكُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ »

The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said, “The plague is martyrdom for every Muslim.”

[Sahih Muslim, Kitab Al-Imarah (33), 4944]

State of Hajj?

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ « لَيُحَجَّنَّ الْبَيْتُ وَلَيُعْتَمَرَنَّ بَعْدَ خُرُوجِ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ … لاَ تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى لاَ يُحَجَّ الْبَيْتُ »

The Prophet (s.a.w) said, “The people will continue performing the Hajj and Umrah to the House (of Allah) even after the appearance of Gog and Magog … The Hour (Day of Judgment) will not be established till the Hajj is abandoned.”

[Sahih Bukhari, Kitab Al-Hajj (25), 1593]

Allah Will Protect Madina

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم « عَلَى أَنْقَابِ الْمَدِينَةِ مَلاَئِكَةٌ، لاَ يَدْخُلُهَا الطَّاعُونُ وَلاَ الدَّجَّالُ »

Narrated by Abu Hurairah (r.a) that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said, “There are angels guarding the entrances (or roads) of Medina, neither plague nor Ad-Dajjal will be able to enter it.”

Allah will surely Test

وَلَنَبْلُوَنَّكُم بِشَيْءٍ مِّنَ الْخَوْفِ وَالْجُوعِ وَنَقْصٍ مِّنَ الْأَمْوَالِ وَالْأَنفُسِ وَالثَّمَرَاتِ ۗ وَبَشِّرِ الصَّابِرِينَ ۞ الَّذِينَ إِذَا أَصَابَتْهُم مُّصِيبَةٌ قَالُوا إِنَّا لِلَّـهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ ۞ أُولَـٰئِكَ عَلَيْهِمْ صَلَوَاتٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ وَرَحْمَةٌ ۖ وَأُولَـٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُهْتَدُونَ ۞

[Surah Al-Baqarah (2), Ayat 155-157]

Importance of Writing Wills

عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- قَالَ « مَا حَقُّ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ لَهُ شَىْءٌ يُوصِى فِيهِ يَبِيتُ ثَلاَثَ لَيَالٍ إِلاَّ وَوَصِيَّتُهُ عِنْدَهُ مَكْتُوبَةٌ » قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ مَا مَرَّتْ عَلَىَّ لَيْلَةٌ مُنْذُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- قَالَ ذَلِكَ إِلاَّ وَعِنْدِى وَصِيَّتِى

[Sahih Muslim, Kitab Al-Waseeyah (25), 4207]

Allah Himself is the Guardian of the Quran

إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا الذِّكْرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُ لَحَافِظُونَ ۞

“Indeed, it is We who sent down the Qur'an and indeed, We will be its guardian.”

[Surah Al-Hijr (15), Ayat 9]

Plague & How to Protect?

قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أُسَامَةَ بْنَ زَيْدٍ، يُحَدِّثُ سَعْدًا عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ « إِذَا سَمِعْتُمْ بِالطَّاعُونِ بِأَرْضٍ فَلاَ تَدْخُلُوهَا، وَإِذَا وَقَعَ بِأَرْضٍ وَأَنْتُمْ بِهَا فَلاَ تَخْرُجُوا مِنْهَا »

... The Prophet (s.a.w) said, “If you hear of an outbreak of plague in a land, do not enter it; but if the plague breaks out in a place while you are in it, do not leave that place.”

[Sahih Bukhari, Kitab Al-Tibb (76), 5728]

The Best Charity

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ قَالَ رَجُلٌ لِلنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، أَىُّ الصَّدَقَةِ أَفْضَلُ قَالَ « أَنْ تَصَدَّقَ وَأَنْتَ صَحِيحٌ حَرِيصٌ. تَأْمُلُ الْغِنَى، وَتَخْشَى الْفَقْرَ، وَلاَ تُمْهِلْ حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَتِ الْحُلْقُومَ قُلْتَ لِفُلاَنٍ كَذَا وَلِفُلاَنٍ كَذَا، وَقَدْ كَانَ لِفُلاَنٍ »

[Sahih Bukhari, Kitab Al-Wasayah (55), 2748]

When Riba & Adultery Becomes Widespread

عن ابن عباس ، قال نهى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أن تشترى الثمرة حتى تطعم ، وقال « إذَا ظَهَرَ الزِّنا و الرِّبا فِي قَرْيَةٍ ، فَقَدْ أَحَلُّوا بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ عَذَابَ اللهِ »

Narrated by Ibn Abbas (r.a) that the Prophet (s.a.w) … said, “When Adultery and Riba spread in a nation or territory, they make the punishment of Allah lawful upon them.”

[Tabarani, 462] & [Hakim, 2261] (Sahih)

Declared War with Allah & Prophet (s.a.w)

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّـهَ وَذَرُ‌وا مَا بَقِيَ مِنَ الرِّ‌بَا إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ ۞ فَإِن لَّمْ تَفْعَلُوا فَأْذَنُوا بِحَرْ‌بٍ مِّنَ اللَّـهِ وَرَ‌سُولِهِ ۖ وَإِن تُبْتُمْ فَلَكُمْ رُ‌ءُوسُ أَمْوَالِكُمْ لَا تَظْلِمُونَ وَلَا تُظْلَمُونَ ۞

“O you who have believed, fear Allah and give up what remains of interest, if you are (true) believers. And if you do not, then be informed of a declared war from Allah and His Messenger. But if you repent, you may have your principal - (thus) you do no wrong, nor are you wronged.”

[Surah Al-Baqarah (2), Ayat 278-279]

The Sin of Riba

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ « الرِّبَا ثَلَاثَةٌ وَّسَبْعُوْنَ بَابَا، أَيْسَرُهَا مِثْلَ أَنْ يَنْكِحَ الرَّجُلُ أُمَّهُ ... »

[Hakim, 5852] (Sahih)

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حَنْظَلَةَ غَسِيلِ الْمَلَائِكَةِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ « دِرْهَمٌ رِبًا يَأْكُلُهُ الرَّجُلُ وَهُوَ يَعْلَمُ أَشَدُّ مِنْ سِتَّةٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ زَنْيَةً »

[Musnad Ahmad, 22007] (Sahih)

Widespread Disrespect & Disregard

حَدَّثَنَا بَكَّارُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ قَالَ « كُلُّ ذُنُوبٍ يُؤَخِّرُ اللَّهُ مِنْهَا مَا شَاءَ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ، إِلاَّ الْبَغْيَ، وَعُقُوقَ الْوَالِدَيْنِ، أَوْ قَطِيعَةَ الرَّحِمِ، يُعَجِّلُ لِصَاحِبِهَا فِي الدُّنْيَا قَبْلَ الْمَوْتِ »

The Prophet (s.a.w) said, “Allah will defer whatever wrong actions He wills until the Day of Rising except for tyrannical behaviour, disobeying parents or cutting off relatives. He will punish the one who commits those things in this world before he dies.”

[Adab Al-Mufrad, 591] (Sahih)

Supplication that Saved Adam (e.s) & Hawa

قَالَا رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَا أَنفُسَنَا وَإِن لَّمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ ۞

“They said, ‘Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers.’”

[Surah Al-Araf (7), Ayat 23]

“It is He (Allah) Who has created you [all] out of one living entity,
and out of it brought into being its mate, so that man might
incline [with love] towards woman ...”

[Surah Ar-Rum (7), Ayat 189]

وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ أَنْ خَلَقَ لَكُم مِّنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ أَزْوَاجًا لِّتَسْكُنُوا إِلَيْهَا وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَكُم مَّوَدَّةً وَرَحْمَةً ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ ۞

“And of His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquillity in them; and He placed between you affection and mercy. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought.”

[Surah Ar-Rum (30), Ayat 21]

وَمِن كُلِّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقْنَا زَوْجَيْنِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ ۞

“And of everything We have created pairs;
perhaps you will take heed.”

[Surah Adh-Dhariyat (51), Ayat 49]

Warning Against Immorality

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ أَقْبَلَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ فَقَالَ « يَا مَعْشَرَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ خَمْسٌ إِذَا ابْتُلِيتُمْ بِهِنَّ وَأَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ أَنْ تُدْرِكُوهُنَّ لَمْ تَظْهَرِ الْفَاحِشَةُ فِي قَوْمٍ قَطُّ حَتَّى يُعْلِنُوا بِهَا إِلاَّ فَشَا فِيهِمُ الطَّاعُونُ وَالأَوْجَاعُ الَّتِي لَمْ تَكُنْ مَضَتْ فِي أَسْلاَفِهِمُ الَّذِينَ مَضَوْا ...

[Ibn Majah, Kitab Al-Fitn (36), 4019] (Sahih)

When Riba & Adultery Becomes Widespread

عن ابن عباس ، قال نهى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أن تشترى الثمرة حتى تطعم ، وقال « إذَا ظَهَرَ الزِّنا و الرِّبا فِي قَرْيَةٍ ، فَقَدْ أَحَلُّوا بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ عَذَابَ اللهِ »

Asking Allah to Suffice What is Halal

اَللّٰهُمَّ اكْفِنا بِحَلَالِكَ عَنْ حَرَامِكَ وَاَغْنِنا بِفَضْلِكَ عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ

“O Allah! Suffice us with Your halal (lawful) and (save us) from Your haram (unlawful), and enrich us with Your favours so that we am not dependent upon anyone except You.”

[Tirmidi, Kitab-ud-Dawat (36), 3563] (Hasan)

Allah Created in Pairs of Male & Female (1)

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُوا رَبَّكُمُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُم مِّن نَّفْسٍ وَاحِدَةٍ وَخَلَقَ مِنْهَا زَوْجَهَا وَبَثَّ مِنْهُمَا رِجَالًا كَثِيرًا وَنِسَاءً ۚ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ الَّذِي تَسَاءَلُونَ بِهِ وَالْأَرْحَامَ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلَيْكُمْ رَقِيبًا ۞

“O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul and created from it its mate and dispersed from both of them many men & women. And fear Allah, through whom you ask one another, and the wombs. Indeed Allah is ever, over you, an Observer.”

[Surah An-Nisa (4), Ayat 1]

Allah Created in Pairs of Male & Female (2)

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاكُم مِّن ذَكَرٍ وَأُنثَىٰ وَجَعَلْنَاكُمْ شُعُوبًا وَقَبَائِلَ لِتَعَارَفُوا ۚ إِنَّ أَكْرَمَكُمْ عِندَ اللَّهِ أَتْقَاكُمْ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ خَبِيرٌ ۞

Quranic Guidance on Breastfeeding

وَالْوَالِدَاتُ يُرْضِعْنَ أَوْلَادَهُنَّ حَوْلَيْنِ كَامِلَيْنِ ۖ لِمَنْ أَرَادَ أَن يُتِمَّ الرَّضَاعَةَ ۚ وَعَلَى الْمَوْلُودِ لَهُ رِزْقُهُنَّ وَكِسْوَتُهُنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ ۚ لَا تُكَلَّفُ نَفْسٌ إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا ۚ لَا تُضَارَّ وَالِدَةٌ بِوَلَدِهَا وَلَا مَوْلُودٌ لَّهُ بِوَلَدِهِ ۚ وَعَلَى الْوَارِثِ مِثْلُ ذَٰلِكَ ۗ فَإِنْ أَرَادَا فِصَالًا عَن تَرَاضٍ مِّنْهُمَا وَتَشَاوُرٍ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِمَا ۗ وَإِنْ أَرَدتُّمْ أَن تَسْتَرْضِعُوا أَوْلَادَكُمْ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذَا سَلَّمْتُم مَّا آتَيْتُم بِالْمَعْرُوفِ ۗ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ ۞

[Surah Al-Baqarah (2), Ayat 233]

Even an Illegitimate Child has a Right

Abdullah bin Buraidah narrated ... woman came and said, “O Messenger of Allah, I have committed Zina, purify me,” but he turned her away. The next day she said, “... why are you turning me away ... I am pregnant." He said, “Then no, go away until you give birth.” When she gave birth, she brought the child to him wrapped in a cloth, and said, “Here he is, I have given birth.” He said, “Go away and breastfeed him until he is weaned.” When she had weaned him, she brought the boy to him, with a piece of bread in his hand and said, “Here, O Prophet of Allah, I have weaned him, and he is eating food.” He handed the boy over to one of the Muslim men, then he ordered that a pit be dug for her, up to her chest, and he ordered the people to stone her ... Then he ordered that the funeral prayer be offered for her, and she was buried.

Blood & Foster Relations

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم « يَحْرُمُ مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ مَا يَحْرُمُ مِنَ الْوِلاَدَةِ »

Narrated by Aisha (r.a) that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) told her, “What becomes unlawful through breastfeeding is that which becomes unlawful through birth.”

[Sahih Muslim, Book of Breastfeeding (17), 3569]

Husband Wife who were Foster Siblings

Narrated by Abdullah bin Abu Mulaika from Uqba bin Al-Harith, “Uqba married the daughter of Abu Ihab bin Aziz, and then a woman came and said, ‘I suckled Uqba and his wife.’ Uqba said to her, ‘I do not know that you have suckled me, and you did not inform me.’ He then sent someone to the house of Abu Ihab to enquire about that but they did not know that she had suckled their daughter. Then Uqba went to the Prophet in Madina and asked him about it. The Prophet (s.a.w) said to him, ‘How (can you keep your wife) after it has been testified?’ So, he divorced her and she was married to another (husband).”

Foster Relation after a Stomach Full

عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم « لاَ يُحَرِّمُ مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ إِلاَّ مَا فَتَقَ الأَمْعَاءَ فِي الثَّدْىِ وَكَانَ قَبْلَ الْفِطَامِ »

Umm Salamah (r.a) narrated that The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said, “No prohibition results from suckling except for what penetrates the intestines while on the breast before weaning.”

Foster Relation after Five Sucklings

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ « كَانَ فِيمَا أُنْزِلَ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ عَشْرُ رَضَعَاتٍ مَعْلُومَاتٍ يُحَرِّمْنَ. ثُمَّ نُسِخْنَ بِخَمْسٍ مَعْلُومَاتٍ ... »

Aisha (r.a) said, “Among the things that were revealed of the Quran was that ten definite breastfeedings make a person a Mahram, then that was abrogated and replaced with five definite breastfeedings ...”
